MEPS INTERBANK ATM AND INTERBANK e-DEBIT NETWORK SERVICES DISRUPTION

Kuala Lumpur, August 25, 2006 - Malaysian Electronic Payment (1997) Sdn Bhd (MEPS) announced today that the Interbank ATM and Interbank e-Debit Network services will be temporarily unavailable for 6 hours from 4am - 10am on Saturday, September 2, 2006 due to an upgrading exercise.

During this service disruption, customers will not be able to make payment via e-Debit at retail outlets as well as ATM cash withdrawals in Indonesia and Singapore. However, customers in Malaysia can continue to make ATM transactions at their own banks' ATMs.

The MEPS Interbank ATM and Interbank e-Debit services will resume to normal from 10am onwards.
