MEPS provides the Shared ATM Network switch which enable bank customers to conveniently access their funds anywhere from any of the participating banks’ ATMs. Gone were the days when ATM is only for cash withdrawal or balance inquiry. Today, there are many interbank facilities being offered to bank customers.
MEPS initiated cross-border ATM links to several countries in the region namely Indonesia’s PT Artajasa Pembayaran Elektronis (ARTAJASA) and PT Rintis Sejahtera (Rintis), Singapore’s National Electronic Transfer Pte Ltd. (NETS), Thailand’s National ITMX, China’s China Unionpay and South Korea’s Korea Financial Telecommunications & Clearings Institute (KFTC). This service offers participating banks’ customers the convenience of making cash withdrawals via ATM in the said countries.
Interbank ATM Funds Transfer (IBFT) allows bank customers to transfer funds from one account to another account in another bank. The beneficiary will receive the funds immediately and instantaneously, as the transfer is online and in real-time.
Interbank Mobile Prepaid Top Up offers more convenience and hassle-free for mobile phone subscribers to top-up through Interbank ATM. At the moment, this service is only available for Maxis’ Hotlink, Celcom’s Xpax and DiGi Prepaid subscribers.
This service is an additional channel for bank customers to pay their credit card or loan through the ATM of another bank that is part of the network. This hassle-free service provides flexibility for customers to fulfil their monthly commitments.
