MEPS was awarded the ISO/IEC 27001 for ISMS in 2006. This certification underscores our commitment to providing first-class services to our member banks and their customers, using the industry’s most stringent standards for data security and management; ensuring information are securely protected against any potential security risks, concerns and vulnerabilities.
As an ISO/IEC 27001 certified organisation, MEPS undergoes a series of annual internal audits, in addition to an annual third party surveillance audit to ensure conformance to ISO/IEC 27001 requirements.
MEPS is PCI-DSS certified (Payment Card Industry – Data Security Standard). This is a mandatory requirement by international schemes for the routing of scheme card related transactions.This certification is evidence that MEPS’ policies, procedures and systems uses best practices to protect sensitive customer data. MEPS obtained the certification in 2009 and undergoes annual audit to ensure conformance and compliance.
MEPS was voted by SMEs as the most preferred brand in the Interbank Payment Services and was awarded the BrandLaureate Master Awards 2010 for the said category.
