Position NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR

Job Information

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure smooth operations, maintenance, availability and uptime for the network system infrastructure system including monitoring and capacity planning; to provide continuous efficient 1st and 2nd level support for network in accordance to Information Technology policy and procedures.
  • System and Network Configurations

Demonstrate understanding of PC, server and network setup, including the system hardware, and operating system; with the ability to apply the knowledge to supervise the administration and support of network and office automation.

  • System and Network Tools

Demonstrate understanding of reliable PC, server and network system installation and administration tools; with the ability to manage and propose or implement the improvement for the network.

  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving

Ability to perform support, diagnose and analyze problem, adopting the setup and administration approved techniques to identify problems or abnormalities, formulate or apply the resolution and preventive procedures to promptly resolve the problem.

  • Project Management

Ability to provide or propose reliable system and network technical input / specifications based on the user’s requirements and upon approval to implement within the stipulated timeframe.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science or with a minimum 3 years working experience in networking / technical support.
  • Creative and result oriented.
  • Good communication, writing and organising skills.
  • Experience in Banking or IT related sector would be an added advantage.
  • Able to lead a team.
  • Ability to deal with emergency situations in a calm, efficient and prompt manner
  • Good interpersonal & communications skill (both verbal and written) in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
